introduction
This is my first entry. Why am I doing this?
Boredom? Perhaps sometimes. To be a "netizen?" No. Why online? I
don't really know. For some reason I like the idea of having
something hidden completely in the open. It makes me think of "The
Phantom of the Opera," where everyone is oblivious to the labarynth of
behind-the-scenes passages that are all around them: I can have some
semi-intimate thoughts put out in the world for anyone to see and
probably no one will. Or perhaps the occasional visitor from
Australia, Italy, or Kentucky will chance a glance this way.
I don't expect this to generate hits. I don't
expect to update this very regularly and probably not very often.
It's the hope (perhaps vain and perhaps in vain) that someone
somewhere might read something I've done and think it was very much
worth doing. Basically the attitude of this whole site. So I leave
the rest to you, if there is any "you" that is actually reading this.
