blah blah blog
Does this look like a blog to you? I have enough
friends with popular and witty personal web-pages or blogs that it
looks attractive to try to keep up with the Joneses or the Whomevers,
and I guess I have no excuse as to why this is different. Well, it's
not witty. And it's not popular. And I don't put an extraordinary
amount of effort into it.
There are many many people who like to create and
maintain a profile, as on Friendster or Facebook, and find it rewarding to
update and check on acquaintances or friends. But it strikes me as a
modern way of collecting friendship bracelets. And its fine. Especially
when people who haven't been in touch in a long time get a chance to get
connected again. Unfortunately, I don't have the interest to continually
check or update or search for people online. Unlike this website, I'm not
motivated to upload and organize numerous pictures and stories and
personal details to a vastly public and searchable system. I think the
biggest difference is that I have complete control over everything that
goes up on here. It's my own garden.
And when I have nothing else to say, I can always "blah
blah blog."
